Membrane switches can be made into flexible boards or used with hard board
PCBs. The surface is generally made of materials such as
PC or
PET and printed with multi-color patterns to distinguish the different positions of each button.
The buttons of the
membrane switch can be made into a convex shape or a flat shape. The surface of the
membrane switch can also be made to have a high-gloss effect, or matte oil can be printed to give it a matte frosted effect.
Underneath the panel of the
membrane switch is double-sided tape, bonding the panel and the circuit board below. Circuit boards can be made into single-layer, double-layer, or multi-layer structures. The circuit board is printed with conductive silver paste, UV insulating oil and anti-oxidation carbon paste.
3M glue can be printed on the back of the circuit board, or appropriate high-performance double-sided tape can be selected according to actual assembly requirements.
If the
membrane switch needs to be backlit, or equipped with embedded
LEDs as indicator lights for the buttons, the mezzanine of the
membrane switch should be high to facilitate the storage of
LEDs. The
LED window can be made into a translucent effect. The
LED emits light when working. When not working, the color of the window and the surface are the same, and the position of the
LED cannot be seen, making the surface of the
membrane switch more concise and beautiful.
Membrane switches with coarse sand surfaces are mainly used on large equipment. The edges of the buttons are made into arc-shaped protrusions to enhance the three-dimensional effect. The
LED position is translucent, and the color is consistent with the background color of the panel. When the
LED is not working, the
LED cannot be seen. When the
LED is working, the
LED emits light to serve as an indicator.
